OCT or Optical Coherence Tomography is a highly advanced scan or imaging test carried out to study the performance of the retina. The scan uses light to capture cross section images of the retina to identify diseases like glaucoma, age related macular degeneration and several other conditions that impair the performance of the eye. It also helps study the fiber optic nerves of the eye very accurately.
